2026 Family Law Search Visibility Benchmark

Through Cascade Digital Marketing, we audited the search visibility of 351 family law firms across 20 mid-size U.S. markets in 15 states — every major region of the country. The question was simple: when someone in your city searches for help, can they find you? For most firms, the answer was no.

What the audit found

  • The average firm scores 54 out of 100 on combined search visibility — how findable a firm is across Google search, maps, and AI-driven results.
  • More than half the market (56%) sits in the critical gap: firms that are effectively invisible for the searches their future clients actually make.
  • Over $2.4 million per month in pay-per-click spend is flowing through these 20 markets — much of it from firms whose websites and intake can't convert the clicks they're buying.
  • The ceiling is real: the highest-scoring firm hit 92. The playbook that gets a firm there isn't exotic; it's consistent fundamentals, which is what this site teaches.
